Flying Chickens

We helped engineer a stunt to show that improving on chickens is what NUGGS does... and then unleashed it on the city.

Plant-based chicken company NUGGS needed to convince the world that their nuggets were just as good as the real thing. So ReThink wanted to blur the lines between real and fake chickens by seeding social sites with videos of fake flying chickens to spark a viral debate online. The ensuing speculation spread from the top of Reddit to TikTok and YouTube, amassing over 7 million views completely organically, 139K social engagements, and 22K comments.

Anthill Films managed all sides of the production to capture "real" footage of flying chickens. And while it was a hilarious idea that paid off with amazing results, there was nothing funny about trying to bring the creative team's vision to life. Obviously chickens don't fly (or do they???) and the shoot presented a unique and complex challenge for our crew that required a highly skilled team of drone pilots, cinematographers, robotics engineers and a healthy dose of producer-magic to pull off.
