Scotty James, Mark McMorris and Sebastien Toutant are some of the best slopestyle snowboarders in the world. They can go bigger and flip faster than us mere mortals will ever be able to, and they each have a bag of tricks that go deep enough to keep them at the top of podiums around the world... But snowboarding's not always about the gnarliest tricks and mega kickers, and the boys aren't keen on progressing the sport to just become that. 'Uncorked' is their take on growing snowboarding through creative features, high speed shredding, and stomping classic tricks with the style and ease of a winter Sensei.
Working with Redbull's initial concept, Anthill worked with the athletes and Grouse Mountain resort to bring Uncorked to life. We then produced, shot, and edited the visually-immersive short film using the highest-level production equipment available including high-speed phantom cameras, follow cameras, drones, and a cable cam.
Within 24 hours of releasing the main action film on Red Bull's Facebook page, it grossed over 1.5 million views. It has reached an audience of over 2.7 million people through Facebook alone, with an additional 160,000 views on Youtube, and countless more on Red Bull TV's website and online snowsports publications. Footage from the project was also used to create a feature documentary for CBC Sports.
